Dinner for two: Sweet & Savory pie

Here is a simple & fun meal of a sweet and savoury pie where in you can make your main course and dessert all in once for two people. Here is what you will need to make this recipe.

Ingredients: (for the savoury pie)

  • 1 round store bought puff pastry

  • one leek, washed and finely chopped

  • one small block of feta cheese, crumbled with hands

  • salt to taste

  • black pepper

  • olive oil

  • 1 tsp of sesame seeds

Ingredients: (for the sweet pie)

  • a small tub of greek yoghurt

  • fruits of your choice (I have taken different kinds of berries but you could also take some caramelised apples, apricots, passion fruit etc. or whatever you have at hand

  • few nuts to garnish (I have taken chopped pistachios)

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven at 220* and in the meantime wash the leek and chop it finely, crumble the feta cheese.

  2. Take a round flat pie pan, line it with baking paper. Now put your puff pastry on it, poke a few holes on the pastry here and there.

  3. Make a cut in the middle of the pie and divide it into two. Fold the corners of both the pieces from all the sides, now they should look like two half smilies!

  4. Spread the leeks, the cheese, the spices and the oil on one half and leave the other half empty.

  5. Bake it in the oven at 220* for about 20 minutes.

  6. Take it out of the oven, cut the savoury pie into two pieces and serve.

  7. Let the other empty half cool for a minute or two, if it has puffed out then break the puffiness with a fork, spread it with a laver of thick creamy greek yoghurt and top it with the fruits and nuts of your choice.

  8. Enjoy!
